CAIRO, October 12, 2025 – Jean Edwards Consulting was honoured to attend the 28th African Reinsurance Forum, organised by the African Insurance Organisation (AIO), held from 12 to 15 October 2024 at the Intercontinental Cairo Citystars Hotel in Cairo, Egypt. Under the theme “Harmonisation: Uniting the African (Re)Insurance Markets for a Sustainable Future”, this year’s event brought together over 500 senior delegates from more than 40 countries, representing insurers, reinsurers, regulators and industry stakeholders across Africa and beyond.
Our team had a strong presence at the forum and used the opportunity to meet with a wide range of existing clients and trusted partners. These in person discussions allowed us to deepen relationships, review ongoing projects and identify new areas of collaboration. We also had the pleasure of meeting several new prospects, introducing them to Jean Edwards Consulting and the value we bring to reinsurance and insurance markets through our targeted tools and expertise.
A key focus of our discussions was the demonstration of our advanced tools, including Alpha, our AI powered solution designed to support a wide range of critical business functions, from underwriting and claims management to accounting and operational analysis. Delegates were particularly interested in how Alpha and our broader portfolio of digital solutions can support transformation and efficiency across African reinsurance and insurance markets, while also helping firms adapt to emerging risks and regulatory shifts.
The forum provided an ideal platform to exchange ideas on the industry’s most pressing challenges, including climate risk, market harmonisation and the importance of digital innovation in building a more resilient and sustainable future for the African (re)insurance sector. We welcomed the opportunity to contribute to these conversations and to hear from peers, regulators and industry leaders shaping the future of the continent’s insurance landscape.
We would like to extend our thanks to the organisers, the Insurance Federation of Egypt (IFE), the Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA) and the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade, for hosting such a professional and impactful event.
We look forward to continuing to strengthen our presence across the African continent and to supporting our clients and partners with market leading insights, solutions and technology driven tools.
